What we’re trying to achieve through Private Gigs for exhibitors at DMC:
The DMC exhibit hall has traditionally been an open forum that does not require Joint Certification (DD2345) for entry or to exhibit. Joint Certification is required for U.S. or Canadian contractors who wish to obtain access to unclassified technical data disclosing militarily critical technology with military or space application that is under the control of, or in the possession of the U.S. Department of Defense or the Canadian Department of National Defense.
Over the years, exhibitors have expressed that they would like to display materials or have conversations that would not be permissible without first having Joint Certification (DD2345). In an effort to accommodate the need for a controlled space that allows exhibitors to discuss or demonstrate Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), DMC will offer exhibitors an opportunity to participate in Private Gigs.
Exhibitors who meet the requirements can submit an abstract for an open or invitation only Private Gig. If invitation only, exhibitor will be responsible to invite and communicate the details of his/her Private Gig. Only attendees who have paid the registration fee and submitted an active DD2345 are permitted to attend the Private Gigs. Private Gigs will take place in a room on the same floor as the controlled technical sessions. Abstracts for Private Gigs can be submitted until September 30, 2023.
